IT – Questo tipo di condensatore, ideato dal fisico tedesco Franz Maria Aepinus nella metà del 1700, è costituito da due armature rappresentate da due dischi metallici, isolati e scorrevoli in senso perpendicolare al sostegno. In posizione centrale si può inserire un terzo disco isolante (dielettrico), sostenuto da una colonnina al centro del basamento. Caricando le due armature esterne tramite un alimentatore, si otterrà un condensatore di capacità variabile, in relazione al dielettrico interposto e alla distanza fra i due dischi.
GB – Epino capacitor – This type of capacitor, conceived of by the German physicist Franz Maria Aepinus in the mid-1700s, consists of two armatures represented by two isolated metal disks, that slide in a direction perpendicular to the support. In the central position it is possible to insert a third insulating disk (dielectric), supported by a column in the center of the base. Charging the two external armatures through a power supply, a capacitor of variable capacity will be obtained, in relation to the interposed dielectric and the distance between the two disks.
