IT – L’amperometro è uno strumento per la misura dell’intensità della corrente elettrica che percorre una sezione di un conduttore. Il suo nome deriva dall’unità di misura della corrente, l’Ampere, il cui simbolo è A, in onore del fisico francese André-Marie Ampère. Esso sfrutta le forze elettromagnetiche generate dal passaggio di corrente elettrica nella bobina rigida posta al suo interno e immersa in un campo magnetico. La coppia generata dalle forze elettromagnetiche fa ruotare la bobina di un certo angolo, rappresentato dall’indice nel quadrante dello strumento e direttamente proporzionale all’intensità della corrente da misurare.
